Parker's 2nd Birthday & Christmas Fun!

Parker turned 2 on November 11th and we had a great little celebration with family! At his 2 year checkup he weighed 26lbs and was 34 3/4" tall, which puts him in the 30th percentile on weight and 70th percentile on height. We have decided to start Parker in school/daycare and he starts this coming Monday!  We are so excited for him. Every time we drop Cooper at school, he walks right in and sits down at the table with the kids and doesn't want to leave.  He will absolutely love it!  Parker is quite the athlete and amazes us with his basketball skills.  We never taught him how to shoot a basketball and he has the correct form and is awesome!

Cooper is doing great as well!  He blows our mind how smart he is for 4 years old and he remembers everything!  We just signed him up for soccer and he begins practices in February and games in March.

Christmas was a lot of fun this year.  The boys absolutely loved this past month.  We spent many evenings walking around looking at all the lights and Christmas decorations.  Seeing Santa wasn't all that exciting though.  Cooper was ok with him, but Parker was still a little scared.  Our elf, Jimmy came back from the North Pole and the boys loved waking up and finding him every morning.  We spent Christmas Eve at my brother in-law's parents house with about 30 people (which was a lot of fun!) and then Christmas morning at my parents and Christmas Evening at Lynn and Gene's.  We are looking forward to the New Year and wish everyone a very Happy New Year!

Coop's 4th Birthday, Halloween & More!

Cooper turned 4 on October 21st!  At his 4 year checkup he weighed 37 lbs and was 41 3/4" tall, which puts him in the 80th percentile on height and 60th for weight.  We were shocked about 60th for weight, because he is the pickiest eater.  Must be all the candy he sneaks!  We had a huge birthday party for him and about 50 people attended, including most of his pre-school class. Grandma & Grandpa Geno arrived just in time from Michigan to attend and Grandpa Geep came straight from the airport to attend. Also Cooper's grammy, Aunt Jill & Uncle Brad were there to celebrate! We did a Rescue Bots theme party and the kids had a blast.

Parker will be 2 on November 11th and is getting to be such a big boy!  He decided a few weeks ago to climb out of his crib and hasn't gone back.  We converted his bed and it's taken a week of sleepless nights, but I think we've convinced him that needs to stay there and not come see us 100 times a night.  Parker took swimming lessons about a month ago and could swim on his own after 2 lessons. The instructor teaches over 100 kids a year and said he is one of the best she's seen at his age and that he is meant to be in the pool.  She was amazed and kept saying I must be lying about his age! But most importantly, he loves being in the pool!

Halloween was last night and our neighborhood was packed with kids.  Bob and I found it interesting that all the neighbors sit at the end of their driveways and hand out candy.  The kids don't go up and ring doorbells, like we remember doing as kids.  Parker absolutely loved trick or treating.  This was really his first year, since last year he was sick.  However, we could not get him to wear a costume. He was supposed to be a penguin and as you'll see from the pictures below, he refused to!  Cooper was Optimus Prime!  Cooper's school did a Halloween party and Parker and I attended, so it was an day celebration!
