Cooper turned 4 on October 21st! At his 4 year checkup he weighed 37 lbs and was 41 3/4" tall, which puts him in the 80th percentile on height and 60th for weight. We were shocked about 60th for weight, because he is the pickiest eater. Must be all the candy he sneaks! We had a huge birthday party for him and about 50 people attended, including most of his pre-school class. Grandma & Grandpa Geno arrived just in time from Michigan to attend and Grandpa Geep came straight from the airport to attend. Also Cooper's grammy, Aunt Jill & Uncle Brad were there to celebrate! We did a Rescue Bots theme party and the kids had a blast.
Parker will be 2 on November 11th and is getting to be such a big boy! He decided a few weeks ago to climb out of his crib and hasn't gone back. We converted his bed and it's taken a week of sleepless nights, but I think we've convinced him that needs to stay there and not come see us 100 times a night. Parker took swimming lessons about a month ago and could swim on his own after 2 lessons. The instructor teaches over 100 kids a year and said he is one of the best she's seen at his age and that he is meant to be in the pool. She was amazed and kept saying I must be lying about his age! But most importantly, he loves being in the pool!
Halloween was last night and our neighborhood was packed with kids. Bob and I found it interesting that all the neighbors sit at the end of their driveways and hand out candy. The kids don't go up and ring doorbells, like we remember doing as kids. Parker absolutely loved trick or treating. This was really his first year, since last year he was sick. However, we could not get him to wear a costume. He was supposed to be a penguin and as you'll see from the pictures below, he refused to! Cooper was Optimus Prime! Cooper's school did a Halloween party and Parker and I attended, so it was an day celebration!
