Christmas with the kids this year was so much fun! They are both at the ages now where they get totally into it. Parker successfully sat on Santa's lap without crying and the kids probably more than anything, loved going around the block each night to see the decorations (especially the inflatables!).
Cooper was asked by the music teacher at his school to participate in the tree lighting ceremony. He was 1 of 6 kids that were asked out of about 60 kids in the pre-kindergarten program. He was honored and did a great job singing. Cooper has been busy attending birthday parties (there has been 1 every weekend in January so far and we have another to attend next weekend). He also just started t-ball and is having a blast! I'm super excited about this and even got myself a new glove to practice with him. We just had our parent teacher conference for the boys and Cooper's teacher said he amazes her. He passed every developmental test very easily and more. She tested him on things that he hasn't been taught and scored almost 100% on those things too. She said he sets such a good example for all the kids in the class.
Parker is doing fantastic, well besides failing his hear test. So just like we did with Cooper back in the fall, we have an appointment for Parker to now get tubes in his ears. Parker's teacher said he is such an independent boy and she is so proud of how far he has come. She said he is very strong-willed (which was no surprise to us! haha) and very aware and sure of himself. She did say he can get rough at times and does get a little antsy from time to time too (but again, no surprise to us!). She did say that several times a day, he will run up to her and just smile, then run away. So sweet!
Last year we went to the Monster Truck show in Fort Myers, but unfortunately they did not have it this year. So my parents surprised the boys with tickets to see it in Tampa. The boys absolutely loved it and stayed up to 11pm to see Grave Digger win!
