Winter Update!

Cooper & Parker are doing well! It's been a while since I've update their blog, so we are happy to announce we won the Christmas decorating contest this past Christmas! We switched our theme and did a gingerbread house and are looking forward to adding more next year. 

The kids enjoyed their long Christmas break and New Years. We spent some time in Alva, boating with family and friends, sleepovers and more. Cooper finished up his soccer season placing 2nd in the playoffs, losing just 2 to 1 to Canterbury. It was an amazing season! Both boys are taking golf lessons right now and are hoping to try out for their middle school team in the fall. Bob's dream came true and we now have a golf simulator in our garage. So the boys can get lots of extra practice in...including Bob! 

Parker has been playing the violin, he was required to choose band or orchestra this year at school but he's actually really enjoying it...mostly because his teacher is amazing! He'll continue next year too. Both boys did phenomenal this quarter in school. Cooper ended the 3rd quarter with all A+'s(100%) and one A (98%).  And Parker finished with all A's and one B+(89%). We are super proud of them! They only have a few months left of school and are looking forward to summer break. We've already booked one of their favorite trips to Michigan to see Meme & Papa, our trip to Colorado with my family and a fishing & soccer camp for Cooper and a tennis & soccer camp for Parker. The boys will also volunteer one week at their old pre-school as camp counselors! 

We just got back from the kids spring break in Colorado. Would you believe it, it was in the 50's. Good thing, because Cooper had outgrown his winter jacket and only had a light coat of mine to wear!  The kids took ski lessons 2 days, sledded and had fun just playing in the snow and hanging out with family. They did miss their Uncle Brad & Dad who stayed back to work.  I can't believe Easter is this coming weekend. We quickly decorated and even though Parker doesn't believe in the Easter bunny anymore, he still asked if he could do an egg hunt...so I'm off to stuff eggs!
