We just got back from a fabulous vacation with my family in Colorado at my parent's new home in Cordillera. We were fortunate to be out there for 2 weeks and the kids were able to experience many new adventures and spend a lot of time with their cousins! A big thank you to my parent's for their generosity and hard-work the past few years building this house!
The kids have enjoyed summer so far! They did a camp at Brown Academy the first 5 weeks and most recently one at Sky Zone (an indoor trampoline place). Cooper will do a camp with Elise this coming week in my parent's neighborhood. He's finally old enough to join her! And Parker is excited to have 17 "stay home days", as he calls them before school starts!
The following week Cooper will have surgery to put his 3rd set of ear tubes in. Right before vacation, he said one of his ears felt funny and we couldn't see an ear tube in it. We also noticed he wasn't hearing well again. Sure enough, his tube had fallen out and he has massive amounts of fluid in both ears. The ENT will insert long-term ear tubes this time, since the large amounts of fluid are causing significant hearing loss. Hopefully the long-term tubes are more effective than the short-term ones he's had a few times!
The boys start school at their new school on August 9th and are really excited. Soccer season will be starting again soon too. Bob will be coaching Parker's team in Gateway and he'd planned on coaching Cooper's team, however Cooper was asked to try out for Global Premier Soccer and made it. He will have the privilege of being coached by a professional and we are hoping he will gain a lot of experience that will benefit him on and off the field!
