The kids started back to school in August at their new school, Discovery Day Academy. They could not be happier and I think so far, they are really benefiting from the project based curriculum. We just received Parker's initial pre-kindergarten assessment results and he did phenomenal...scoring 18/18 in math and near perfect scores in all other areas assessed. Cooper is doing extremely well too and is impressing us with his continuous perfect test scores and reading ability.
Both boys are in soccer now. Bob is coaching Parker's team and they started off the season with a big win! Cooper has been practicing with his travel team for a few months now and will start games in a few weeks. Unfortunately our insanely crazy weather the past month has caused a lot of delays and missed practices!
Speaking of, we had a huge flood back in August. We had never seen anything like it! Schools were cancelled and water was almost up to our garage. The kids thought it was the coolest thing! Then a few weeks later Hurricane Irma hit about 30 minutes south of here in Marco Island. We hear the eye of the hurricane actually went right over our house. It was a very very long 2 weeks preparing and recovering. But we cannot complain, we were extremely lucky compared to many in our area.
We are looking forward to the upcoming months. Cooper will turn 7 and Parker will turn 5 and we are working on super fun parties for the boys! Stay tuned.
