New School, Birthday's, Fall Sports, Vacation & Halloween!

The boys started at their new school this fall and have done amazing. I was a bit nervous about the transition, but they have completely surprised me. Not only are they excelling academically, they have made many new friends. Cooper even won Star Student of the Week his first week at school!

Cooper & Parker are almost finished with fall sports. Cooper has been playing flag football and what a quarterback he is! His potential to go far in football is huge, should he decide to. He's also playing soccer and we are anticipating his team making it far in the playoffs as they are undefeated with 2 games to go. Most recently after placing in the top 4 out of the 70 or so 3rd graders at ECS, he qualified to represent his school at the regional spelling bee. He came in 2nd at regionals and is now moving onto state! Grateful (by the way, that is the word he lost on at regionals) that my Mom was able make the long trip with me.

Parker has enjoyed soccer this season, after playing 2 seasons of baseball he decided to switch back to soccer. He has also taken a huge interest in fishing, which Bob is not going to complain about. He's quite the little fisherman, as you'll see in the pictures below. Parker loves to spend most of his free time outside, with his best buddy Michael (who lives next door). If they aren't catching minnows, they are busy searching for rocks and gems. Parker has grown and learned so much since starting 1st grade. He's on track to make straight A's at the end of this year.

We planned a last minute cruise to the Bahamas to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and the boy's 7th and 9th birthday's! We also celebrated the boys' birthday's with family parties and a combined friend's party that included a video game truck and a sleepover afterwards with a couple of Cooper's friends.
