The school year has ended for the boys and they went out with a bang! Their school held their year-end award ceremony in person (first time parents were allowed in the school all year) and I was so honored and proud to watch them receive the awards they worked so hard to earn. Cooper received A honor roll for the year and highest A in English, highest A in Heritage Studies, All Star Reader, Sword Drill Finalist, Sword Drill Champion, Math Fact Master and his class awarded him Future Detective since he asks the best questions! Parker received A honor roll for the year, Bravo award for PE and his class awarded him future NBA player because he's so athletic! Parker's teacher resigned with 3 weeks left in the school year, so we appreciated the librarian helping out.
Cooper's soccer season was really exciting this year, it was also his most improved season. They ended up losing in the 2nd round of the playoffs in a shootout. It was a bummer, but he tried out for a travel team and made it...so we are looking forward to that starting in the fall. He's also loving guitar and has had a few performances the past month. He was the only one asked to move up to the next level from his group!
Parker is still doing outstanding at tennis (he's a natural) and just finished up his basketball season. He is really eager to get back into soccer, so we will add that to his agenda in the fall and can't wait to watch him play!
The kids have been enjoying the first few weeks of summer. Cooper started the summer with having his long-term ear tubes removed and unfortunately has had to miss the daily night swims with his dad and brother. They've had a great time getting together with friends boating, mini golfing, sleepovers, parks and parties and are now visiting family in Michigan -- will post pictures next time!
